Mogę wskazać trzy swoje główne obszary badawcze, które zazębiają się ze sobą. Pierwszy obszar dotyczy oporu kulturowego, społecznego aktywizmu, akcji społecznych, zarówno w perspektywie historycznej, jak i współczesnej. Drugi obszar moich zainteresowań dotyczy pamięci kulturowej i komunikacyjnej, ze szczegółnym uwzględnieniem pamięci lokalnych oraz regionalnych. W tym obszarze interesuje mnie także wytwarzanie tożsamości regionalnych. Trzeczim obszarem moich zanteresowań jest obszar edukacji i animacji pozaformalnej i nieformalnej. W tym obszarze interesuje mnie w jaki sposób praktykowany jest rozwój jednostkowy (antropologia sportu, animacji społcznej i kulturowej, subkultury, kultura fanowska). Ponadto interesuje mnie także to w jaki sposób tworzona i przekazywana jest wiedza o regionie oraz świadomość regionalnej tożsamości.

I can point to three of my main research areas. The first area concerns cultural resistance, social activism, social actions, both in historical and contemporary perspective. The second area of my interests concerns cultural and communication memory, with particular emphasis on local and regional memory. In this area, I am also interested in the creation of regional identities. The third area of my interests is the area of non-formal and informal education and cultural animation. In this area, I am interested in how personal development is practiced (anthropology of sport, social and cultural animation, subcultures, fan culture). In addition, I am also interested in how knowledge about the region and awareness of regional identity are created and passed on.

Aktualnie pracuje nad dwoma projektami badawczymi. Pierwszy dotyczy historii mówionej subkultur w Polsce. Projekt ma za zadanie zbadanie historii subkultu z perspektywy ich uczestników. Drugi projekt badawczy opiera się nad wybranych stadiach przypadku budowania tożsamości lokalnych oraz tego w jaki sposób są one przekazywane w procesie edukacji nieformanej i pozaformalnej.

I am currently working on two research projects. The first concerns the oral history of subcultures in Poland. The project aims to explore the history of the subcultures from the perspective of its participants. The second research project is based on case studies of the proces of building local identities and how they are transmitted in the process of informal and non-formal education.
