description of research interests:

Polymer science, directed self-assembly of soft materials, polymer templating of inorganic nanomaterials: Periodic pattern formation and long range order in soft materials by field-directed self-assembly including static electric and magnetic fields, and dynamic photo-thermal gradients. Transport properties implications of ordering in heterogeneous systems, in particular, charge transfer in aligned semiconducting or metallic nanowires for transparent conductors, sensors and electrocatalytic materials. Chemical species and ion transport in polymeric membranes for energy storage and filtration. X-ray scattering methods for structure and properties studies of soft matter (SAXS/WAXS/GISAXS/GIWAXS).
