Moje zainteresowania badawcze koncentrują sie wokół historii wychowania, historii dzieciństwa i szkolnictwa w XV-XX wieku. W sposób szczególny interesują mnie książki dla dzieci - w tym dawne książki szkolne, literatura dziecięca, a także dzieje metod nauczania i dydaktyki wczesnoszkolnej, ich powiązań z dziejami psychologii dziecięcej, z modelem rodziny (i jej dysfunkcji), z historią dawnej książki i drukarstwa, z uwzględnieniem podłoża historycznego w kontekście społecznym i kulturalnym. Interesuje mnie również obraz wychowania, dzieci i młodzieży, rodziny w filmach polskich, niemieckich i rosyjskich od lat dwudziestych do lat pięćdziesiątych XX wieku. W ostatnim czasie badania prowadzę także nad wychowaniem patriotycznym i obywatelskim w Polsce - w szczególności w XX wieku.

My research interests focus on the history of education, childhood history and history of schooling in the fifteenth - twentieth centuries. I am particularly interested in children books researches - including old school books, children's literature, as well as the history of teaching methods and early childhood education, their links to the history of child psychology, the family model (and its dysfunctions), the history of old books and printing, taking into account the historical background in the cultural and social aspects. I am also interested in the image of education, children and youth, families in Polish, German and Russian movies from the 1920s to the 1950s. Recently, I have been conducting research on patriotic and civic upbringing in Poland - especially in the twentieth century.
