Badam:

(1) Amonity jurajskie, ich taksonomię, filogenezę i znaczenie stratygraficzne;

(2) Zróżnicowanie paleobiogeograficzne jurajskich faun amonitowych w prowincjach: tetydzkiej, submedyterańskiej, borealnej i subborealnej, w skali Europy i świata;

(3) Bioeventy amonitowe związane z migracjami międzyprowincjalnymi;

(4) Dokonuję korelacji zonacji amonitowych w skali ponadregionalnej, od Europy Zachodniej i Centralnej po Rosję, Karaiby, Indie;

(5) Biorę udział w zintegrowanych badaniach nad korelacjami stratygraficznymi i paleośrodowiskiem z wykorzystaniem metod amonitowych, izotopowych opartych o izotopy węgla i tlenu oraz metod paleomagnetycznych;

(6) Osobny wątek moich zainteresowań badawczych to ochrona dziedzictwa geologicznego (“geoconservation” and “geoheritage”), zwłaszcza historycznych jurajskich odkrywek pogórniczych (kamieniołomów) i  tzw. “ruchomego dziedzictwa geologicznego” (kolekcji paleontologicznych) w kontekście ich znaczenia naukowego i edukacyjnego.

The aims of my studies are the following ones:

(1) Jurassic ammonites, their taxonomy, phylogeny and stratigraphic significance;

(2) The paleobiogeographical diversity of the Jurassic ammonite faunas in the Tethyan, Submediterranean, Boreal and Subboreal faunal paleoprovinces, in Europe and on the global scale;

(3) Ammonite bioevents related to their interprovincial migrations;

(4) Stratigraphical correlations of ammonite zonal schemes in over-regional scale, from Western and Central Europe to Russia, and further on, to Caribbean, India and other areas;

(5) Integrated research on the stratigraphic and paleoenvironmental studies using joined ammonite methods, isotopic methods based on carbon and oxygen isotopes and the paleomagnetic methods;

(6) A separate thread of my research interests is the geoconservation of geological heritage, including historical Jurassic mining open-casts (quarries) and a "mobile geological heritage" (paleontological collections), and their scientific and educational significance.
